If you’re like every other human being attending high school, then you would understand that the weeks leading up to exams, and the exams themselves, can be quite stressful. You may be the one in a millionth who thinks exams are fun, a great way to test your knowledge, or have absolutely no care in the world for your results, however the rest of us do care, and see exams as a painful and unnecessary method of proving that we know a textbook from cover to cover. So, you have exams coming up? Mid-terms, Finals, whatever they might be, here are some helpful hints which I myself have used on many occasions to get me through a rough exam, but before we start – Welcome to Wiki How, or as I call it, what not to read when you need help doing stuff! 1. Meditation Yes, meditation is a great way to manage your stress and anxiety before an exam – or speaking task for that matter! The best way to meditate, in my own opinion, is to have a four-syllable word, or ‘mantra’, which you repeat in your head while meditating. This helps you focus your thoughts and block out distractions. This can come in very handy when you’re taking an exam that you really need to focus in, but there’s the one annoying crow outside which just won’t shut up. On a more scientific level, 20 minutes of meditation can give you the same health benefits and focused mind as if you’d just been in a light sleep for four hours. Be warned, however, that it is very hard to stay still, silent and focused for 20 minutes on your first attempt, so it would be best to work in gradual steps, e.g. start off meditating for 5 minutes, then the next day try 8, then 10, and so on. This really helps and has been very beneficial for both myself and many others who meditate. 2. Study, Study, Study! We’ve all been there. It’ 3 days before your exam, and you’ve been procrastinating up until this point through various methods, such as binge watching 80 episodes of TV shows on Netflix (In my defence, they were good shows!) My method of study, which I have spent perfecting over the course of 3 years, involves the preparation of study booklets and revision notes from DAY ONE of learning, and revising these notes every two weeks to the point that I could answer any question about the topic off the top of my head. For difficult courses, such as English, where you must remember boring quote after boring quote, I would suggest flash cards and trigger items. If a quote is about an eye, wide open staring across the room, then bring in a pen grip with eye’s open wide to trigger your memory! Study isn’t for everyone however, and everyone has their own techniques. So, remember, if whatever you are doing is getting you the best marks you could possibly get, then keep doing it. But always strive for the best, and then you know you will be getting the results that reflect your best efforts. 3. Seafood (Yuck or Yum) Yes, that’s right, the brain food of the ancients. Seafood has been proven time and time again to contain the highest amounts of Omega 3 lipids (fats), which are essential in the human diet for our brain cells to retain memory and knowledge. These fats aid in the production of chemicals and neural signals within our brain associated to learning and memory. So be sure to consume as much seafood as humanly possible, and if seafood is totally disgusting in your view, then some omega 3 supplements can be found at almost any and every supermarket and chemist in the world. So, there you have it, three of pretty much hundreds of different strategies to help you through the stress that is commonly called school. All you need to do is hit the thumbs up button on the page, you can see it in the screenshot below: Once we hit 100 likes the radio will be ad free!
Not really sure what's up with the radio? Read on for an interview with Dan, he runs the HDA radio What kind of music do you play on HDA radio? Absolutely anything, we try and keep the Radio Shows themed, but if you send in a request we try and fit it in. If the DJ doesn’t like the original song, I encourage them to find a good remix. Ultimately, it’s the DJs choice, which I trust in, but I would hope they play all requests. What times should I tune in? Generally, we try and follow the schedule tinyurl.com/hdawhosonair, however, it’s a bit more sporadic than that because often DJs don’t make it to their slots. How do I become a radio host? You just need to apply!! I’m opening applications about once a month, they’ll remain open for roughly 5 days and then they will shut. If you wanted to download the software for your own Radio, the stuff we use is: SAM Broadcaster (PAID), Winamp, NiceCast (Mac only) or Mixxx. There are other programs you can get that will do the same stuff, but thats what works with our radio server, if you wanted to create your own Radio for free on the same platform as us, go to caster.fm/register.php What rooms do you prefer to scout in?

CasperDirch95 : You are such a great worker and i love ya. you are doing that hard work in HDA and i love it. i like how you handle all situations and that is so nice to see <3 Dont wanna miss you ever <3 BIGGGG Walk us through your general scouting method
There are various methods for scouting. What I most of the time do is, add random people and message them. I also describe to them what HDA is about, what makes us stand out from other agencies and so on. What rooms do you prefer to scout in? There are so many public rooms to choose from! I mainly go to high schools, hospitals andddd club NX! Club NX is legit the best place for scouting. Picnic area and coffee house is good too. I always choose rooms that are very populated. What kind of people do you tend to approach to advertise to? - There are many people who are new to habbo. It's kind of easy to bring them in. How do you deal with trolls or hate when scouting? - Ignoring them is the best option if they keep trolling. You can't really win an argument with empty brains. If I still try to scout them and they agree to come, it's still going to harm the agency. What kind of messages do you copy/paste to get your message across? - I don't really copy/paste anything. I just tell them all about HDA. Which features of HDA do you advertise the most? (Pay, friends, events etc?) - I try telling them about one of our most generous feature, the payment system! I also tell them about the incredible staff we have and how friendly they are and that we have fun games and events everyday. I also like to brag about our 8K+ members ;] Were you always a good scout? - Never! Practice makes a man perfect and that's what happened to me. I just loved the idea of scouting because it's a very important part of an agency. This is one of the best ways to spread the word around the habbo hotel. So I tried to advertise everyday and now I'm a pretty good advertiser ;p Share a funny scouting story you have experienced while scouting. There are thousands of them hahaha. I never really saved a screenshot. Oh man this could've come handy now ): Anyway so I've made great friends while scouting. That's one of the best thing ever. I was scouting earlier today and a girl whom I was trying to scout asked me if I was lesbian and if I would like to share some crazy pics with her on snapchat. That's only a bit of it. Every other day this type of things happen. One of the boys I added still messages me saying "hey babe ;)" |
